Make a deal

Learn to make an equity startup investment including conducting due diligence, valuing a startup, understanding various financing instruments (priced rounds, convertible loans, SAFEs…) negotiating terms and executing the transaction.

    • Due Diligence: Get familiar with the basic components you need to analyze and what exactly to dig deeper when conducting a due diligence process, before investing in a startup.
    • Company Valuation: See how much you should get from the company in exchange for the money you plan to invest in, which is the valuation. Get familiar with the most common methodologies and valuation benchmarks.
    • Deal Terms: Get familiar with the legal documents entrepreneurs and investors need, key clauses they usually include and the relevance during each phase of the investment process.
  • Live webinars can be offered to groups starting with a minimum of 10 participants.

Build, manage and exit a portfolio

Learn to build a diversified portfolio of startup investments following an asset class approach and to have an enriching experience. Develop your investment strategy, invest alone or via a syndicate, support the entrepreneurs including being a Board member, make reinvestment and exit decisions. Lead a deal

Learn to be a “Deal Leader” or enhance your investment skills. Business angels often invest as a syndicate: pledge individual amounts for an investment, invest together, appear as one on the startup up shareholder registry – cap table and choose a Deal Leader to lead them.
